Course Summary
Designed for boat operators and passengers, this course builds naturally on the skills learned during the Remote Worker Swiftwater Safety course and is customizable to the needs of the client.
Learning Objectives
Boat reentry techniques
Escape and rescue from underneath boats
Raft re-righting (flipping)
Ropes, knots, and mechanical advantage
Quick release harnesses
Risk assessment tools
Prerequisites
At least 18 years of age or permission of a legal guardian.
Completion of the Remote Worker Swiftwater Safety course or equivalent.
Schedule
Single day, 4 or 8 hours depending on learning objectives.
The schedule is subject to change based on extenuating circumstances, such as changes in local water conditions. The water portion of the course may be cancelled entirely if a safe venue is unavailable.
